Is there any chance we can find a site for early January that will be a bit more off the beaten track but still within 5-10 miles from Quartzsite? I don't mind a little extra driving to minimize the crowding.
ReplyDeleteWe also have a freezer-load of wild game (elk and deer), grass fed lamb and grass fed beef to grill with you while we're there!
Plomosa Road is just shy of five miles north of Q. There may be other places, but I am really only familiar with Plomosa Road. Based upon a murky recollection: Just short of the three mile mark, go north off the road into the desert. Lots of choices there. There may be a few other rigs out there, but not the groups parked wall to wall else where around Q.
DeleteLots of BLM land around here - From Quartzsite take Hwy. 95 north. About 7 miles turn right on Plomosa Road towards Bouse. Camping anywhere along the road for the next 20 miles. :)
