Wow. It certainly was a special day. Powell's Books obviously had heard of my addiction. As I approached the bookstore, I couldn't believe that they would actually have put "Wandrin Lloyd" on the marquee.
Powell's Books version of the welcome...
After that photo op moment I was wandering Powell's book laden aisles. Ended up in the travel section where I was able to restrict my purchases to a single book. The guilt of the many unread books still residing in Wandrin Wagon kept me from purchasing more.
Shameless promotionalism! (grin)
ReplyDeleteYou are a STAR! :-)
ReplyDeleteAs you said there is a fine line between a hobby and mental illness...D
ReplyDeleteyour wandering finally pays off, but with fame rather than fortune... oh well, one out a two. congrats.

You really are a fan of Photo Shop aren't you??????
ReplyDeleteDee,
ReplyDeleteRats. Now everyone knows -- as if they didn't already suspect a Photoshop moment.
The second photo was compliments of Powells. They take a photo of me against a green back drop and overlay it on a photo of the book store.
Now how will we ever be able to trust where you say you are again? Have you photoshopped your entire journey?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Russians were right, maybe we really didn't land on the moon, either! :))

Mark,
ReplyDeleteInteresting thought. I could settle in the Colorado mountains and "create" a world of travel sitting in front of an internet connected computer.
I'm so gullible, I believed it. Until I saw these comments. Still, it LOOKS good. I have to say, I like your idea of sitting in front of the computer and "creating" a world of travel. Since I'm still in the planning stages. But, no, I'll live vicariously through you RVers until I'm ready to roll.

Barbara,
ReplyDeleteSorry about that. Perhaps next time I will come clean when I post the Photoshopped item. Or maybe not.
