Sighting a Gila monster on my hike today made this hike extra special.
Even better I was able to get a photo of the guy as he scurried away. In all the years of hiking in Arizona, I have seen six Gila monsters. Only two times have I been able to get a photo. This photo was the second time.
Perhaps I will get lucky again on the next hike.
Diana and I saw one through the bushes a couple weeks ago. It was such a thrill. Now I have to see one in the open.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thrill. Congratulations.
ReplyDeletestill haven't seen one... will be on the lookout again this year as we will spend time in their habitat...
ReplyDeleteIn all my 38 years of travel, I've only seen one---last year---it sat still under my step till I photographed it. Wonder if they are considered endangered?
ReplyDeleteGreat Find! :)
