The other alternative is a single wide in a mobile home park. The bad part is then I own something. The good part is not sharing walls with neighbors. The much better solution is to continue living in truck and trailer -- as long as I can.

However, I have been known to change my mind frequently. :-))Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13311083597294672388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4565671130289537623.post-43908360703003787392013-12-07T20:11:50.769-07:002013-12-07T20:11:50.769-07:00It is still a plan. If you are uncomfortable driving, get someone to help. What I dislike about apartment living is the too often undesirable neighbors. Gave it up 35 years ago and wouldn't go back! I thought you were planning to wait on selling your truck and trailer until you were sure you didn't want to travel anymore. This new plan sounds like a better one for now.

When I'm tired of dry camping, probably in a year or so, I plan to find a nice "low service, low price" RV park where I can get full hook ups and not pay for everyone else using a pool and all the extras that I never use. I'll stay in one in the south, and when it's too hot, move north to another similar RV park. When it gets too cold, I'll head south. Until I REALLY want to settle down, and then maybe I'll just stay in a nice park like Santee Lakes in San Diego County for months at a time until I want to travel a little. Staying 3 months or 6 months in an RV park would give me a pretty good discount, I think, and AZ and NM are so much more affordable than California.

I'm not as ready as you are to make changes, but I'm definitely thinking about what I might do in the future - a year or two away. I know I won't want to continue dry camping forever. :)Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16516591720277269204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4565671130289537623.post-64170835196539540292013-12-04T15:16:04.352-07:002013-12-04T15:16:04.352-07:00hey now Lloyd, what about san diego, don't you...hey now Lloyd, what about san diego, don't you have family there?
